Discover the Podnar’s on State Route 438

Tom and April Podnar welcome you to their piece of heaven off of SR 438 in Hickman County. Visit Tom in his workshop where he makes barnwood furniture and signs from locally salvaged barn wood. Then stop next door to a converted barn for a sneak preview of April’s Attic. This vintage store created by April will be having its grand opening in June but you can get a sneak peek now.

Joining the Podnars for the Arts and Ag Tour are two authors who understand the significance of Memorial Day. On Friday, May 25 Hickman County resident Steve Armstrong will bring his book ” ‘Neath the Shade of the Liberty Tree”. Armstrong is a veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division who served during combat in the 80s. His book is a reflection of his experiences, philosophy and his love of the country he served. On Saturday, meet Kentucky resident Michael Freeland. This member of our Greatest Generation served in the 82nd Airborne as a combat medic during WWII. He has authored two wonderful books of his reflections and will bring both to our tour stop. On each day these special guests will be available between 10am – 2pm.

Make sure to see  Shop Girl and Woody while you’re there. They can’t wait to meet you!
