Whatever your aspirations may be I hope that this class will give you the knowledge and inspiration to get rolling. Flowers and herbs are such a lovely blessing and we all have them right at our finger tips. Many of us, however, lack the confidence to get outside and start planting. But after spending one day on a farm gathering information and encouragement you can head home with the tools to get started!
The class will be taught by Renee` Stokes at NarrowGateFarms just outside of Centerville this Saturday, June 30th. Cost is $20 per person or a family rate of $35. It will be a very personal, interactive workshop and will include lunch. The workshop begins at 10:00 a.m. and lasts into the afternoon. Reserve your place or ask questions by calling 931-729-9288 or e-mailing NarrowGateFarms.email@example.com Open to all.
Some subjects to expect at the class will be:
- How to start flowers from seed
- What flowers to choose to suit your personal needs including comments on zone hardiness, time available, soil & soil preparation, space, pest problems, disease resistance, and seasonality
- Garden walk through
- How to harvest cut flowers
