2013 Tour Stops

2013 Arts & Ag Tour Memorial Day Weekend May 24-25

Some stops will be open both days and some only one so be sure to grab a map which includes a detailed schedule of the weekend’s activities! Maps will be available to download for free from our blog in early May AND will be for sale at select stops on the Tour.

Stop #1   Wild Duck Soup Emporium Hand-crafted goods, locally made, art gallery, natural foods and more! Featuring photography by Cindy Sarlo and live music by Gloria McCord and Austen “Call” Basthemer. Experience the Arts and Ag Garden Project on the backyard patio. Register for the Arts & Ag door prize, a red cedar bench handmade and donated by Clay Chandler.

Stop #2   Centerville Marketplace three floors of locally crafted products and collectibles from local vendors. Door prizes each day.

Stop #3   Grinders Switch Center featuring live music from the Grinders Switch Radio Hour, and the Minnie Pearl Museum.

Stop#4    Betty’s Organic Bee Garden featuring expert beekeeper John Seaborn of Wolf Creek Apiaries, beekeeping equipment from Bon Aqua Bees, Raw honey and handmade crafts from Barefoot Farm Girl and live music by The Heritage.

Stop #5   Bernard Community Center featuring a display of handmade quilts and light refreshments.

Stop #6   Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church serving fried chicken plates. Breads jams, jellies and desserts for sale.

Stop #7   Lulu’s Roadhouse serving a special with local organic greens from Narrow Gate Farms and featuring an exhibit of Narrow Gate Farms chainsaw carvings. Live music.

Stop #8   Laser Perfect by T Laser engraved and custom designed items.

Stop #9   Sweet Creek Farm fresh herbs for sale. Pot throwing demos and pottery by Vicki Imoberstag. Also featuring arts and Crafts by the Buffalo River Artisans Co-Op.

Stop #10   Centerville Farmers Market fresh local produce and live music.

Stop #11    Tottys Bend Farm & Dairy backyard farming information from goat and rabbit experts Nate Davis, Pam Hethcote of Possum Hollow Farm, and Mark Ebert. Featuring felted creations by Ashley Whitaker of Good Wool Etc. Fresh goat milk and cheese samples. Tottys Bend goat milk soaps and lotions for sale.

Stop #12    Tottys Bend Community Center serving light refreshments and cookbooks for sale.

Stop #13    Duck River Rose tour the rose garden and goat farm and learn about rose cultivation. Live music by Ray LeMay.

Stop #14    Little Lot Lavender Farm fields of fresh lavender, historic cabins, live music by Donna Sadler. Jewelry, jams, breads and sweets by Joanne’s Creations for sale.

Stop #15    New Eden Farm farm tour with information about and samples of naturally raised beef. Beef and goatmilk soap for sale.

Stop #16    River Edge Farm Horse Rescue farm and barn tour of non-profit horse rescue. Handmade quilts, wall hangings, bags, horsehair bracelets and other crafts available.

Stop #17    Leegacy Farms farm tour, horse driven plow, corn grinding, cow milking demonstrations, crafts and homemade treats for sale. Live music by the West’s (West Ladies) and Eleganza Strings.

Stop #18    Beaverdam Creek Farm farm tour, CSA information, fresh produce and grass fed beef. Live music by Mathew Haverkamp. Homemade soaps from Beaverdam Creek Soap Co. for sale.

Stop #19    Belle Springs Farm farm tours and information about herd shares of raw cows milk.

Stop #20   Hickman County Ag Pavilion Wash Shouse Building featuring the Hickman County Quilt Guild with a display of quilts, quilting supplies and a spinning demonstration. Century Farm Exhibit curated by Clay Harris. Story Telling by Mary Beth Pruett. Tractor pull Saturday.

Stop #21    Grinders Switch Winery featuring arts and crafts by True Self Studio, Wood Chips and Sawdust, Clay’s Benches and More and Adventure Travel Table. Live music by Mathew Haverkamp and Browns Giftshop Revival. Register for the Arts & Ag door prize, a red cedar bench handmade and donated by Clay Chandler.

Stop #22    Tom the Furniture Guy workshop open for visitors, custom barnwood signs and rustic furniture for sale. April’s Attic vintage items for sale featuring artist Nicole Lewis of Fondue Vintage Homewares. Live music by fiddelist Mark Baczynski.

Stop #23    Turnbull Creek Farm farm tour, cut your own flowers, produce for sale. Featuring handmade guitars and live music by resident luthier Kipp Krusa of Krusa Guitars.

Stop #24    Twin Forks Farm European style artisan breads.

Stop #25    Pinewood Farms garden tours, healthy cooking demonstrations, fresh produce, plants, bluebird houses and photography for sale. Featuring Outsider artist Randy Toy.

Music on the Old Courthouse Lawn 4pm Bobby Lambert; 5pm jam with special guests from the Tour.

  1. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED! I MISSED IT! I do hope that this is an annual event and that I can plan to tour next year. Please forward information when new schedule is out.
